How to clean a squid

Step 1Pull away the head and tentacles from the main body. |

Step 2Chop the tentacles off infront of the eyes and discard the head. Push out the beak with your thumb if it is still left in the tentacles. |

Step 3Peel away the fins from the body and remove the remaining skin. The fins can be used but discard the skin. |
|
|
Step 4Remove the quill from the tube. |
|
|
Step 5Chop the tube into rings if desired. The squid tub and tentacles are now ready to cook. |
