How to clean a squid

Step 1

Pull away the head and tentacles from the main body.

Step 2

Chop the tentacles off infront of the eyes and discard the head. Push out the beak with your thumb if it is still left in the tentacles.

Step 3

Peel away the fins from the body and remove the remaining skin. The fins can be used but discard the skin.

Step 4

Remove the quill from the tube.

Step 5

Chop the tube into rings if desired. The squid tub and tentacles are now ready to cook.
